Enjoy the warm evening breeze on the front lawn of the Betty Jayne while jazz fills the air! The Summer Jazz Series features 10 events held every other Thursday from May 5th through September 1st. This year the Betty will be hosting some of your old favorites as well as a few new bands. Also new this year, the Betty is offering a Summer Jazz Season Pass. Purchase of the pass includes admission to all 10 events as well as a Summer Jazz Series poster for just $60. Season Pass available for purchase from April 13th through June 2nd–don’t wait! The Peoria Art Guild is happy to announce the 2022 Sculpture Walk Peoria opening day reception at the front entrance of the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The outdoor public art exhibit will feature 8 new sculptures installed along both sides of Washington Street from the Peoria Riverfront Museum to the Bob Michel Bridge. A jury of local community leaders and arts professionals selected the sculptures for this year’s exhibit from entries submitted by artists from across the country. The 2022 Sculpture Walk Peoria exhibit will remain in place until late spring of 2024. Sculpture Walk Peoria is an initiative of The Peoria Art Guild. It is coordinated with the support of the City of Peoria, and funded through the generous financial support of corporate and individual sponsors.

A delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure, James and the Giant Peach JR. is a fantastical tale of a boy, his insect friends, and their amazing journey across the ocean on a giant piece of fruit. The cast features 55 students ages 6 to 16 from several area schools and is co-directed by Bryan Blanks and Lori Baker. Music & lyrics by Justin Paul & Benj Pasek (Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman and Lala Land) .
