The Wheels O’ Time Museum blacksmithing shop is located in the Farm Building and operates
every second and fourth Saturday of the month from May to October.
From May through October, our resident blacksmith, sometimes with a few assistants, is on site every second and fourth Saturday of the month between noon and 4 pm. Children love to stop there, watch him fire, pound, twist and bend metal to create all kinds of intricate tools and gadgets. They often go home with a small iron token, a masterpiece forged just for them! Fun for all ages! Come, ask questions, learn about blacksmithing. This is always a free event with your membership or admission ticket.

Event Details
Peoria First UMC invites you to our 2nd Annual Summer Jazz Vesper Series; a wonderful evening of jazz music by area artists such as Andrew Sanchez and the Derel Monteith Trio along with an exceptional line-up of other musicians. A vesper is an evening worship service. It can be a somber or bombastic worship experience. It is paired with readings of Scripture and other inspirational texts as well as good music. The time of day and type of music and readings really set this worship service apart from others. It can be a very powerful experience, especially once jazz music is added to the equation. Jazz music was born out of spiritual yearning and became a source of hope for generations as the blues became the primary medium to rejoice in moments of suffering. Immediately following the service, we will host a potluck dinner for you, our guests! If you enjoy jazz music, this is an experience you do not want to miss. Jazz Vespers will be held at Trailside Event Center in Peoria Heights on June 25, July 18, and August 13 at 6pm. We look forward to seeing you!
