Sky Art Peoria Announces Class of 2023 Winning Artists and Student Division Winners

PEORIA, IL – ArtsPartners is pleased to announce the winning works and artists selected for the 2023 Sky Art Peoria program. Sky Art Peoria is an initiative of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois and is made possible in partnership with Adams Outdoor Advertising. The program displays and promotes art from talented local artists who submit their artwork for review.

The Sky Art Peoria jury, which included distinguished arts, business, and community leaders, scored the artwork according to artistic and technical merits, as well as visual appeal. In the adult division, the jury chose four winning artists. This year’s winners include:

Kristina Bohan, Driftin

Oksana Greer, Fruits Sur la Plage

Knyame Maison, Boundary of Sea and Land

Patricia Whalen Keck, The Pedestrian

Two local students under the age of 18 were also selected as part of the Sky Art Peoria student division. This year’s selected student winners include:

Claire Cox, Portrait of Sunlight

Jesus Reyes, La Fille Dans L’eau

Regarding the art selected this year, Sky Art Peoria committee chair Alexander Martin stated,

“It’s that time of year again where we get to highlight our local artists in a big way! We are so excited to announce this year’s winners for Sky Art Peoria and highlight the amazing talent that lives in our wonderful city. This year we have the honor of having two winning student submissions! Because of the wonderful work of sponsors, we are able to continue to highlight the voices of our youth and show them that the arts are an option in Peoria. Keep an eye out for these billboards as they appear — the work this year is really stunning!”

All winning selections will be reproduced on 48’ x 14’ vinyls that will then be rotated on six Adams Outdoor Billboards for one year in various locations throughout Greater Peoria. Sky Art Peoria billboards will be installed during the month of July.

Sky Art Peoria is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency. Program sponsors include: Big Picture Peoria, Bradley University Department of Art and Design, The Fine Arts Society of Peoria, Miller, Hall & Triggs, LLC, and O’Shea Builders.
