At the Crossroads with Christ
This invitation is intended for Christian artists, whether yourself or others you may know who would be interested in being part of this exhibition.
The Foster Gallery warmly invites you to participate in our Lenten exhibition, At the Crossroads with Christ. This exhibition provides Christian artists with an opportunity to express faith, spirituality, and the journey of Lent through their art.
We invite you to submit artwork that explores the many crossroads encountered in your walk with Christ. Lent is a season of reflection, renewal, and reorientation. A time to consider how Christ is present in daily life, how faith shapes identity, and how we are called toward deeper love, commitment, and transformation. Submissions may include painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, or any other medium that meaningfully expresses your reflection.
We hope your work will inspire contemplation, dialogue, and spiritual reflection, enriching this meaningful season of growth and discernment within our community.

ELIGIBILITY
- Christian Artists 18 years and older.
- Each artist may enter up to three pieces of original artwork. Any media.
- Reproduction prints will not be accepted except in the case of photography.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Framed two-dimensional artwork cannot be wider than 3 feet (36 inches) or taller than 5 feet (60 inches) per entry.
- Two-dimensional works must be ready for hanging. An identification label (Artist Name, Title, Medium, Price/Value) must be attached to the back (top, left).
- Deliver all works at 116 NE Perry Avenue. A timely collection of artwork following the exhibition is greatly appreciated. All unclaimed work will become the property of First United Methodist Church.
IMPORTANT DATES
- Exhibition Dates: March 27 – April 25.
- Delivery of Artwork: March 24, 9 AM – 1 PM @ Peoria First UMC, 116 NE Perry Ave., or by appointment, contact [email protected].
- Opening Reception: April 3, 5–8 PM.
- Artwork Pickup (Peoria): April 28, 9 AM – 1 PM @ Peoria First UMC, 116 NE Perry Ave., or by appointment, contact [email protected].
The Foster Gallery reserves the right to refuse any artwork that contradicts the mission of the Peoria First United Methodist Church.
