“Portraits of Influential Peorians” (America 250 Exhibit)

In collaboration with the Peoria Historical Society, the Foster Gallery is pleased to exhibit “Portraits of Influential Peorians” (America 250 Exhibit).

This exhibition honors the icons of Peoria whose local impact reverberated throughout the state and nation. PHS will honor change-makers such as Dr. George Zeller, who humanely transformed mental health care; Lucie Tyng, an early leader in the temperance and suffrage movements; and Annie Malone, a pioneer in the field of beauty products for Black women.

 

Reception: Friday, July 10, 5-8 PM

Sundays 8:30 AM-NOON

Monday through Friday – 9 AM – 1 PM

EMILY CRANK

Hello, my name is Emily Crank and I am a student at Bradley University. I am currently working towards the goal of double majoring in Art History and History with a minor in Museum studies and Women and Gender studies. My plan is to pursue local history and Gallery exhibition work with a community focus when I graduate. I love art and working on projects that explore the history of the Peoria area, and I am very excited to be working with Arts Partners towards these goals. I look forward to serving the community and furthering the reach of Arts Partners throughout the summer.

I’m Jose! I am a Senior at Bradley University with a Game Design Major and Film Studies Minor. So obviously, I love video games and movies, but really I love all forms of media and creative art! Outside of that I love listening to music, spending time with my family and friends, my baby brother, and my girlfriend!
