Peoria Bach Festival: Bach and the Organ, A Lecture/Demonstration Recital

This year our lecture/demonstration recital explores the history, construction, tonal colors, and music of Bach’s primary instrument, the pipe organ. Some of Bach’s early organ music will be performed along with works by organists that he either knew or by whom he was influenced. The recital will conclude with organ works related to the choral music that will be performed on the 2026 Festival Concert later that evening. A freewill offering will be taken.

EMILY CRANK

Hello, my name is Emily Crank and I am a student at Bradley University. I am currently working towards the goal of double majoring in Art History and History with a minor in Museum studies and Women and Gender studies. My plan is to pursue local history and Gallery exhibition work with a community focus when I graduate. I love art and working on projects that explore the history of the Peoria area, and I am very excited to be working with Arts Partners towards these goals. I look forward to serving the community and furthering the reach of Arts Partners throughout the summer.

JOSE BECERRA

I’m Jose! I am a Senior at Bradley University with a Game Design Major and Film Studies Minor. So obviously, I love video games and movies, but really I love all forms of media and creative art! Outside of that I love listening to music, spending time with my family and friends, my baby brother, and my girlfriend!
