Nathan Westerman – Books and Pages: Bound and Redacted Art Exhibit

Maligned books are used as medium to convey an assault on knowledge and the ideas contained within. Books stripped of content, destroyed beyond recognition, fragments of torn pages and the string that once bound them; evidence of aggressive censorship and conformity. The Champaign-based artist is an engineering and welding teacher at Urbana High School.

Open Tues-Sat from July 3rd to August 14th.

EMILY CRANK

Hello, my name is Emily Crank and I am a student at Bradley University. I am currently working towards the goal of double majoring in Art History and History with a minor in Museum studies and Women and Gender studies. My plan is to pursue local history and Gallery exhibition work with a community focus when I graduate. I love art and working on projects that explore the history of the Peoria area, and I am very excited to be working with Arts Partners towards these goals. I look forward to serving the community and furthering the reach of Arts Partners throughout the summer.

JOSE BECERRA

I’m Jose! I am a Senior at Bradley University with a Game Design Major and Film Studies Minor. So obviously, I love video games and movies, but really I love all forms of media and creative art! Outside of that I love listening to music, spending time with my family and friends, my baby brother, and my girlfriend!
