Joseph Petarde: Maestro of Stone
Saturday October 3, 2026 from 1 to 3 p.m. Join us for an exhibition celebrating the life and works of the outstanding Italian-American sculptor, Joseph Petarde. Featuring new photographs by Seth Lowe, this event will be held at the Peoria Public Library Gallery, 107 NE Monroe Street, LL1. On October 3, you can also visit two Petarde works in our PHS collection: 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon – Frieze from McKinley Elementary School – Pettengill-Morron House, 1212 West Moss Avenue 12 noon to 12:30 p.m. – Petarde Bench Donated by Descendants – John C. Flanagan House, 942 NE Glen Oak Avenue This is a free event. Please also join us for Agatucci’s pizza and homemade pizzelle at the festive opening reception on Saturday, October 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Peoria Public library. The full exhibit runs October 1 through October 28
