Fourth SATURDAY: Tieflehm | Marlene Miller
Join us as we celebrate artist Marlene Miller with a reception on Saturday, September 26th from 5-8! Marlene will share an Artist talk at 6:30 PM. Light refreshments served. All are welcome! From the Artist: This exhibition focuses on work born during the worldwide pandemic and its aftermath. I chose the German word “Tieflehm” to refer to all that is churned up from the deep loam of earth. Since childhood, the most baffling, inexplicable, and challenging sides of human nature and life have fascinated me. It is this terrain I have occupied throughout my career. During the first months of isolation and anxiety caused by the pandemic, I made the decision to dig deeply to find meaning, and to experience as much freedom and joy as I could muster in my studio.
