Peoria Players Theatre

About

Peoria’s longest continuously running community theatre, and the 4th longest in the nation. Playing in Peoria for over 100 years! Peoria Players originated on October 6, 1919 in Peoria, Illinois with a one-act play entitled The Maker of Dreams and has been in continuous operation since. Our goal is to provide culturally inclusive live theatrical entertainment to our area, as well as give the many talented individuals in the area a creative outlet and the opportunity to perform and grow in a safe, artistically challenging environment.

Mission Statement:  Peoria Players Theatre produces quality theatrical entertainment, provides a creative outlet for local talent and creates hands-on learning experiences for onstage and backstage volunteers.

Vision Statement:  We 1) value the contributions of a broad, diverse base of performers, volunteers, employees, donors, audiences and other supporters; 2) are a fiscally responsible organization, which allows us to continue future operations and productions; 3) present a well-rounded season of shows, which includes a variety of recognized theater standards, classics, regional premieres and original works; and 4) value our history, including our workspace, and we strive to be good stewards of our building and grounds and of our relationship with our lessor, the Peoria Park District.
