BUSINESS OF ART CONFERENCE RETURNS TO PEORIA
PEORIA, IL – ArtsPartners of Central Illinois invites artists and creative entrepreneurs to participate in Business of Art: DONE DAY on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Peoria Public Library Main Library (107 NE Monroe St, Peoria).
This reimagined, day-long conference is designed to help artists move beyond planning and take real, tangible steps forward in their careers. Rather than leaving with a list of ideas, participants will leave with a “done” list — completed business tasks, new tools, and tangible progress.
Throughout the day, attendees will engage in hands-on sessions focused on building and strengthening their creative businesses. Opportunities include receiving a professional headshot, registering an LLC, beginning the copyright process with legal guidance, developing marketing assets, exploring funding opportunities, and connecting with statewide and local business experts.
“This is not a typical conference,” said Brittany Personett, Business of Art Chair. “We designed this day so artists can walk in with ideas and leave with meaningful progress already underway. It’s about removing barriers and helping creatives take real steps toward sustainability.”
The event will feature a keynote by Joshua Davis-Ruperto, Executive Director of the Illinois Arts Council, alongside sessions led by regional and statewide experts in law, finance, marketing, and arts funding.
Participants will also have access to one-on-one support, networking opportunities, and resources from organizations including the Illinois Small Business Development Center, Lawyers for the Creative Arts, and the Peoria Public Library.
The Business of Art is open to artists of all disciplines and experience levels, from those just starting out to those looking to grow and formalize their practice.
