Call to Entry: The Gallery at the River City Reading Room

The Gallery in River City Reading Room invites artists to apply for on-going exhibition opportunities. The Gallery seeks 2D works of any medium and any subject matter by emerging and experienced artists.

About the Space

The Gallery occupies a room inside the bookstore. This room offers three walls, each with 6 feet of hanging display space. The fourth wall has a display table that can accommodate one or more works and written materials relevant to the exhibit. Adjacent to the gallery, a corridor with two walls with a total of 12 feet of hanging exhibit space can accommodate additional works. River City Reading Room will publicize the exhibitions and host an opening reception for each exhibit. Exhibition lengths are flexible but typically last 6-8 weeks. Artists will install their works. The owner of River City Reading is willing to assist.

Who May Apply

Exhibition opportunities are open to all artists working in any 2D medium.

EMILY CRANK

Hello, my name is Emily Crank and I am a student at Bradley University. I am currently working towards the goal of double majoring in Art History and History with a minor in Museum studies and Women and Gender studies. My plan is to pursue local history and Gallery exhibition work with a community focus when I graduate. I love art and working on projects that explore the history of the Peoria area, and I am very excited to be working with Arts Partners towards these goals. I look forward to serving the community and furthering the reach of Arts Partners throughout the summer.
