Featured Poet: Calvin ‘Truth’ Rogers
Calvin ‘Truth’ Rogers started his poetry journey in 2004. His passion came from the loss of his wife who always inspired and pushed him to be the best man he could. After such a tragic loss, Truth continued to stay in touch with his wife through his poetry. She is the ink in his pen, the drive that pushes him to participate in as many shows and slams as he can. Truth was a member of the Saint Louis Poetry Team that competed in 2010 at Rustbelt Poetry slam. For three years, he has been a proud member of Hustle Poetry Slam Team, always bringing his high energy and love to the team.

EMILY CRANK

Hello, my name is Emily Crank and I am a student at Bradley University. I am currently working towards the goal of double majoring in Art History and History with a minor in Museum studies and Women and Gender studies. My plan is to pursue local history and Gallery exhibition work with a community focus when I graduate. I love art and working on projects that explore the history of the Peoria area, and I am very excited to be working with Arts Partners towards these goals. I look forward to serving the community and furthering the reach of Arts Partners throughout the summer.

JOSE BECERRA

I’m Jose! I am a Senior at Bradley University with a Game Design Major and Film Studies Minor. So obviously, I love video games and movies, but really I love all forms of media and creative art! Outside of that I love listening to music, spending time with my family and friends, my baby brother, and my girlfriend!
