In a media environment cluttered with competing voices, one local organization stands above the rest: WTVP. Since 1971, WTVP has been a teacher, reporter, historian, musician, performer and friend to thousands in Central Illinois who believe modern media should aspire to more than commercial gain. It should educate, engage, entertain and inspire, while enhancing and strengthening the communities it serves. WTVP is a community-licensed public television station providing PBS and local programming and outreach services that bring the people of Central Illinois together.
