Sky Art Peoria Announces Class of 2024 Winning Artists and Student Division Winners

PEORIA, IL – ArtsPartners is pleased to announce the winning works and artists selected for the 2024 Sky Art Peoria program. Sky Art Peoria is an initiative of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois and is made possible in partnership with Adams Outdoor Advertising. The program displays and promotes art from talented local artists who submit their artwork for review.

The Sky Art Peoria jury, which included distinguished arts, business, and community leaders, scored the artwork according to artistic and technical merits, as well as visual appeal. In the adult division, the jury chose five winning artists. This year’s winners include:

Jeremy Berkley, Grand View

Brandie Centi-Fislar, Enlightenment Bold

Fletcher Koehrsen, Fading Light

Cyndi Merrill, A Lot of Pots

Richard Wehrs, Making Faces at the World 2

Two local students under the age of 18 were also selected as part of the Sky Art Peoria student division. This year’s jury selected student winners include:

Namratha Dinesh, Mushrooms

Arhan Pande, Be Happy

Regarding the art selected this year, Sky Art Peoria committee chair Everley Davis stated,

It is a pleasure to serve as chair of the Sky Art committee. One goal the committee shares is to help diversify the program by making artists of all ages aware of the program throughout Peoria, Woodford, and Tazewell counties and encouraging all mediums to enter. If your art can be photographed, we want to see it! We are proud that the 2024 cohort of winners includes representation in cities and towns throughout the counties with a range of art mediums like ceramics, glass, sculpture, and digital art seen high in the sky. As a program under Arts Partners, Sky Art strives to elevate and celebrate the creativity fostered in Central Illinois.”

All winning selections will be reproduced on 48’ x 14’ vinyls that will then be rotated on five Adams Outdoor Billboards for one year in various locations throughout Greater Peoria. Sky Art Peoria billboards will be installed during the month of August.

Program sponsors include: Miller, Hall & Triggs LLC and Joshua D. Herman, General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport, Sam & Hiral Hudson, and the Fine Arts Society of Peoria. Sky Art Peoria is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
