Corn Stock Theatre will be opening its Winter Season with the drama The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time based on the best – selling novel by Mark Haddon. This Tony Award- Winning play, written by Simon Stephens, follows the story of a fifteen-year-old boy with an extraordinary brain. He is exceptional at math but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to find the guilty party. His determination to solve the mystery sends him on a journey of discovery and an adventure that transforms his world.
The New York Times said The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is “…one of the most fully immersive works ever to wallop Broadway. Be prepared to have all your emotional and sensory buttons pushed, including a few you may have not known existed.” TIME Magazine said this is “…a play that works on every level – crowd-pleasing, eye-opening, life-affirming and unmissable.”
This ensemble cast consist of local veteran community theater actors and is directed by Joel Shoemaker. This production does contain some strong language.
Performances will take place at the Corn Stock Theatre Center, 1606 N. Park Road, on October 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7:30 PM and October 13 and 20 at 2:30 PM.
