The Peoria Area Civic Chorale is seeking a qualified candidate to provide leadership for the organization’s annual, Young Artist Competition.
Plan and coordinate all aspects of a successful Young Artist Competition. This part-time staff member represents the Peoria Area Civic Chorale and as such will report directly to the Artistic Director/Conductor of the Peoria Area Civic Chorale and the Civic Chorale’s Board of Directors.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance,or equivalent experience required. Previous experience working with young singers (grades 8-12) and music educators is highly desirable. Event management, budgeting, hiring, leadership skills, ability to multitask,ability to network with area students, parents, music educators, and potential program donors using strong written and verbal communication skills is highly desirable.
