Central Illinois’ premier arts and makers fest returns to the Peoria Civic Center on August 9, 2025! Perfect for the whole family, Ignite Peoria showcases hundreds of local makers, musicians, artists, innovators, dancers, and actors, all in one STEAM inspired interactive FREE day of fun and learning!

The proud home of MidWest Makerfest, Sensory Ignite, and Fashion Ignite, this one of a kind festival boasts hands-on creation stations booths where attendees can learn about singing, writing, dancing, building, acting, painting, drawing, coding, 3D printing, robotics, and so much more! Additionally, the event showcases theatre, dance, spoken word, literary arts; and includes two live performance stages plus a bike and car show! And it’s free! So mark your calendars and join us for the Ignite Peoria 2025.

Sensory Ignite!

Sensory Ignite is taking on a new format this year as a Sensory Room! Designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities or anyone needing a break from the crowds, this space offers a variety of activities to meet your sensory needs.

In Sensory Ignite we will have carnival games and a small bouncy house in one area of the room and unplugged acoustic music, blacklight painting, and other projects to spark your creativity in another area.

Also provided next to Sensory Ignite is a Calm Room for low sensory input needs such as low lighting, a quiet space, and quiet hands on activities to help calm a racing mind. Sensory Ignite is happy to provide an adaptive restroom that includes a changing table big enough for adults.

Fashion Ignite: An exciting multi-faceted runway show full of performances & new, refreshing, stylistic looks from our ultra talented designers!

Worn and showcased by none other than Haus of Runway Models! (From the creators of Peoria Fashion Week) Be prepared to be amazed and caught astray with several shows throughout the course of the day at Peoria Ignite!
