“The Anatomy of Survival”
“The Anatomy of Survival”
“My work explores the relationship between nature and human behavior, using the tree as a metaphor for resilience, interdependence, and transformation. Through pyrography burned directly into wood and layered with vibrant acrylic paint, I create figures that exist between landscape and body, blurring the boundary between the natural world and the self. Trees, like people, adapt to pressure, rely on community, and continue to grow despite instability. I am drawn to their ability to bend without breaking. By merging organic forms with human presence, I invite viewers to reflect on vulnerability, connection, and the quiet power found in persistence. My work celebrates growth that emerges after deconstruction and honors the resilience embedded in both nature and ourselves.”
This exhibition will be on display June 5-26, 2026.
