Dr. Elizabeth McGoey, Art Institute of Chicago, will discuss the multi-year, pioneering efforts to acquire, conserve, and install the large Hartwell Memorial Window at the Art Institute in 2021. This major achievement in stained glass was designed by Agnes F. Northrop, the leading designer of nature designs for Tiffany Studios, as a 1911 commission for a church in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. McGoey is the Ann S. and Samuel M. Mencoff Associate Curator of Arts of the Americas at the Art Institute. In her curatorial practice, she focuses on American decorative arts and design. She completed a BA in Art History at the University of Wisconsin and received her MA and PhD in the History of Art at Indiana University.
