Director, Kerrie Rae Ryan, is excited to bring Shakespeare’s shortest play and one of his most farcical comedies to the stage – set in New Orleans during the 1920s! This play will have you laughing out loud as you witness a tale of mistaken identities. A young man and his servant arrive in town, unaware that each of them has a separated-at-birth identical twin already there. This can’t end well—or maybe it can, but not before the unexpected double vision leads to furious wives, confused mistresses, scandalized family members, and general mayhem.
Ryan says “When I was approached about directing a Shakespeare comedy, I liked the idea because I knew it would be challenging. And it has, but it’s also been highly enjoyable because the great thing about Shakespeare is that there is so much room for creativity! And between myself, the cast, and the crew, I think we have come together to achieve our goal of creating a very humorous and fun show that audiences will surely enjoy!”
