As Shakespeare’s most popular romantic tragedy of two star crossed lovers, Director Amy Glass hopes that audiences will come to know classical themes and stories hold relevance in today’s modern world. Says Glass, “I hope audiences take away from our production an appreciation of the timelessness of the story. We also want the audience to fully enjoy themselves and experience Shakespeare in a way that is approachable and engaging.”

One element that audiences will surely appreciate is the real sword fighting, which will happen literally steps away from their seats. Continues Director Amy Glass, “Something I absolutely love about the Costa Theatre Center, besides being in the round, is that it is so intimate with the audience- and we are using that to the fullest to help bring this classic story to life.”
