Call: Eternal Iron Project

Eternal Iron is a project developed by sculptors and owners of Black Dog Metal Arts LLC, Jam Rohr and Danny Rohr in conjunction with the archeologist, Scott Warnasch.

Artists are invited to create their own artworks of any medium inspired by Fisk’s Metallic Burial Cases written by Warnasch (View on the site below). In October of 2022, artists from across the country will exhibit their artworks at various exhibition spaces around Peoria, IL for a “coffin crawl” during First Friday. Each artist will be invited to discuss their work at the opening receptions for the exhibitions.

Artists are invited to submit artworks of any medium. There are no limitations or restrictions on the works. Artwork media may include but are not limited to cast iron sculptures, drawings, songs, paintings, prints, poetry, fiber, video, performance, and more. There are no size restrictions to the work, but work that is not easily handled should be arranged for proper handling by the artist.

The exhibitions for the project will take place in October of 2022.
