Jam Rohr owns Black Dog Metal Arts LLC with her husband, Danny Rohr. Jam is also the Gallery Curator at Illinois Central College, and Adjunct Faculty at Illinois Central College, Eureka College, and Illinois State University.
Danny and Jam travel the country to cast iron, and have poured in Alabama, Indiana, Scranton, Illinois, and this year in Colorado and New Zealand. Jam has served on the steering committee for the National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices in 2019 and 2021, has spoken on a panel about Iron and Materiality at the International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art in 2018, organized the first artistic iron pour in Peoria, IL history as part of Big Picture Peoria in October of 2019, and organized the first iron pour run by FEmale identified artists in Peoria, IL history in November of 2019.
As Jam has recently moved back to Peoria, her goal has been to bring the cast iron community to Central Illinois while sharing the incredible art scene that Peoria has to offer with the iron community around the world.
